Challenge #1 - Lack of time

Many police officers work long, unsocial shifts and this uneven work-life balance has a terrible impact on morale. This takes away precious time with your family and loved ones and away from living life on your terms.

Challenge #2 - Feeling undervalued

A 2016 Police Federation Survey found 67.3% of officers didn’t feel valued in the police. This situation is made worse by limited opportunities to develop and poor pay, benefits and pension provision for the hours and effort dedicated to being on the front line.

Challenge #3 - Health and wellbeing

Dealing with dangerous, stressful situations on a daily basis has a major negative impact on your health and wellbeing. As well as the physical rigours of serving as an officer, workload and responsibility add to the daily anxiety and stress and it’s not helped by the lack of support.
We exclusively help ex- and serving police officers become entrepreneurs so they can build a better income and future for themselves, their family and loved ones.
From the age of seventeen, all I ever wanted was to become a police officer. In 2014, I joined the police service as a detention officer based in custody. During my time in the service, the promise of great pay and benefits and doing rewarding work every day had faded. I was looking for a way out.
Within a year, I had become financially independent earning an income of £62,000 a year from a property business – more than double my police salary. I left behind the stress, poor wages and negativity when I resigned and set up Shifts to Success to help other police officers do the same.
I’ve seen the power of entrepreneurship and truly believe police officers are already well-equipped to become entrepreneurs with the unique skillset being in the Force gives them.
